Different functions were organised in Varanasi on October 2, 2010 to pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. Bharatendu Academy activists paid tributes by garlanding the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi (top) while Congress workers paid tributes (bottom) at Townhall celebrating it as communal harmony day.
