Dev Deepawali festival was celebrated on the bank of the River Ganga in Varanasi on November 21, 2010. On the occasion, nearly all the ghats, specially Dashaswamedh Ghat were lit up with traditional lamps to make the evening a treat to watch from the boats. Foreign tourists also participated in the celebration.

Pandit Nehru remembered


Several functions were organised in Varanasi on November 14, 2010 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Tiny tots celebrated the day at Assi Ghat paying rich tributes to Pandit Nehru.
