Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Dr Indukant Dixit get Observer awards


Varanasi, January 30, 2016:  Senior Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Dr. Indukant Dixit of PTI Ranchi and 25 other dignitaries from different fields were awarded ‘Observer awards’ for the year 2015 here today.

Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM, Digvijay Singh gave away ‘Observer Lifetime Achievement Award’ and ‘Observer Young India Excellence Awards’ to 27 highest dignitaries including Dr Indukant Dixit of PTI, Ranchi and  Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Senior Congress leader, in various social field for rendition of their excellent services in society.

Observer Peace Foundation, a trust dedicated to the cause of building ideal society promoting ideological thoughts and values organized the programme.

Digvijay Singh congratulated the recipients of the award as well as appreciated their work in various fields. He remembered Mahatma Gandhi while releasing a book as well written by Dr. Amar Jyoti Singh on ‘Usefulness of Gandhian Philosophy in Rural Development.’ 

The Foundation conferred ‘Observer Lifetime Achievement Award 2015’ to 18 eminent personalities for their excellence in various fields like medicine, education, social service, police, women empowerment etc. The prominent among them were Dr. Rita Bahuguna Joshi of Congress for her social services and contribution to women empowerment. Other dignitaries bagging Observer Lifetime Achievement Awards were Dr. Vikram Singh, former DGP, UP, Prof. K.B Pandey, Prof. Manjit Chaturvedi etc.

The Foundation also gave ‘Observer Young India Excellence Award 2015’ was given to Nine personalities for their inspirational contribution in their fields. Main recipients among many were Dr. Indukant Dixit, Principal Correspondent, BHASHA, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

While talking to reporters Dr. Amar jyoti Singh and Dr. Amar Bahadur said that each member of Observer Foundation is dedicated to its mission of building an ideal society through their own way though westernization has led to materialism and has changed the dynamics of ideal Indian society.


“On one hand ideological struggle is in full swing and on the other we decided to honour the eminent social contributors so that they become motivational source for the new generation”, they added.
