It was a day to remember when eminent vocalist Padam Bhushan Girija Devi was honoured at Nagari Natak Mandali in Varanasi on the occasion of her 82nd birth day on May 16, 2010.A grand classical music programme was organised to mark the occasion. Her disciple Malini Awasthi (bottom in pix) captivated the audience with her melodious voice. As many as 21 artistes presented programmes to make it memorable one. Girija Devi, the classical singer of the Banaras Gharana also watched the presentations of her disciples.
