Plantation drive was launched at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus of the Banaras Hindu University at Barkachcha (Mirzapur) on September 28, 2012. About 400 saplings mostly of Neem were planted by the students of BSc (Ag), MSc (Ag). Professor Ram Pratap Singh, special executive officer of the south campus inaugurated the programme.
