Lord Rama shot a decisive arrow as effigies of Ravan, his brother Kumbhakarn and his son Meghnad were consigned into flames amid thunderous applauds and laud cheers from thousands of people who gathered in the ground to celebrate the Dussehra festival. DLW General Manager BP Khare inaugurated the festival by performing Puja of God Ram.
