Seminar on ‘Emerging Trends in Pharmaceutical Research’ begins in BHU





Varanasi, March 16, 2013: Leading pharmaceutical experts said pharmacists could play a significant role in health care practices of India by utilizing latest technology of pharmaceutical research.

Addressing the “Spirit 13” – a national seminar on ‘Emerging Trends in Pharmaceutical Research’ and All India Pharma Students’ Conclave at Swatantrata Bhawan in Banaras Hindu University here, they also emphasized that Department of Pharmaceutics, IIT (BHU) being pioneer in pharmacy education and  research could  take a lead for strengthening the health care activity of the country..

Earlier, “Spirit 13” is the annual event of The Pharmaceutical Society, Department of Pharmaceutics; Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) was inaugurated by Vir Anjani K Saxena, MD, G.Praxen and Co. Pvt. Ltd., Lucknow. He also paid floral tributes to Pandit MM Malaviya and father of Pharmacy in India Prof. ML Schroff.

More than 500 B.Pharm, M.Pharm students and research scholars across the country have been participating in the event. The programme comprises of scientific, literary, business events and invited lectures from eminent academicians, scientists and pharmaceutical industrialists. It focused on various emerging trends in pharmaceutical research and development.
