Two persons were killed when Durg-bound Chapra-Durga Express train hit a goods carrying three-wheeler at an unmanned railway crossing at Behrampur near Kadipur railway station in Varanasi on March 24, 2010.
Both the two including driver and fruit seller who carrying fruits were killed on the spot.

About 250 students from Science Faculty and Institute of Agriculture Sciences, Banaras Hindu University participated in an essay writing contest which was organised to create awareness among students on the use of nuclear energy for national development on March 22, 2010.
The topic for the essay contest were Role of Nuclear Power in National Power Programme, Application of Nuclear Energy in Agriculture Biology, Radioisotopes in Healthcare & BARC Technologies – Societal Impact and Career opportunities in Department of Atomic Energy & Homi Bhabha National Institute.
