Talking to scribes here on Friday BHU vice-chancellor professor DP Singh said during the convocation, a total 27 medals would be awarded to the students.
"Out of these, Akansha Jain of Faculty of Science will be awarded the Chancellors’ Medal for standing first in the post graduate M.A./M.Sc. examinations-2009 and the BHU Medal for standing first in the M.Sc.-Applied Microbiology examination 2009. A total 407 medals and prizes will be awarded to the students," he said.
He said 6,743 degrees would be awarded in total, out of which, 4,334 would be of graduation, 2,128 of post graduation and 281 of Ph.D level.
Out of the total degrees, there would be 189 degrees of Agricultural Sciences, 75 degrees of Ayurveda, 2 degrees of Dental Sciences, 156 degrees of Faculty of Medicine, 572 degrees of Engineering and Technology, 1887 of Arts, 90 of Performing Arts, 89 of Visual Arts, 501 of Commerce, 576 of Education, 268 of Law, 105 of Management Studies, 988 of Science, 1164 of Social Sciences, and 81 degrees of Sanskrit Vidya Dharm Vigyan, which would be awarded during the convocation, he added.
